Crafts

So, I think AJU5 is ready to start doing some more crafts around the house. She loves when their are crafts at things we go to, although there is only a 50% chance I get to take them home in one piece... So, we might be hitting Hobby Lobby today in hopes of buying some things to keep us occupied for the next few weeks. I am thinking fun foam sticker projects, glues stick projects, and possibly a paper mache project if I am ambitious...

Two weeks ago she got to make a leaf/glue stick picture at story time. Then, at home she wanted to do more but we didn't have any normal glue 9just the expensive photo glue). Luckily, I remembered that I had some clear contact paper and a bunch of small scraps from scrapbooking. She spent a good amount of time putting the pieces on the contact paper (and pealing them off and putting them back on...).

Have you tried any crafts with toddlers? Any suggestions?

Mine looooove coloring on huge sheets of freezer paper-- they make banners and murals. Harry brought home the cutest tree from school last week-- it was a brown construction paper tree on a piece of blue paper, and he glued a bunch of random puzzle pieces all over to look like leaves.

Dean enjoys watercolor painting! He still tries to eat a lot of craft supplies, but we've started playing with washable stampers and he's finally getting interested in stickers. We are going to make a turkey out of a potato tomorrow...I'll let you know how it goes!
